- There is too much of it to read through so you don’t know where to start
- You can’t find anything that fits YOUR child
- You find information that contradicts other information and you don’t know which is right
- The information is written for academics so feels boring for you to read
The pressure to be politically correct within the field of gifted education means that many of the resources available to parents of gifted children are watered down in order not to offend anyone.
This site is different because it is not written by a teacher, it is not part of any school or organization that might limit the kinds of information presented here.

If you’re trying to parent a gifted child, or children, and you feel like you can’t keep up – that you don’t know quite what to do for your children then this site is for you. I was so frustrated by the confusing information about gifted children that I decided to get my masters in gifted education so I could better help my own children. One end result of all that school and money and time, is this site. My goal on this site is to give you resources you can actually use to be a better parent to your gifted child and to know what you need to know so you can help your child get the best education possible.
